‘The Oracle’ on BBC Radio 6 Music – The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show

Craig Charles horizontal

Thank you to Evelyn Hacker who let me know that ‘The Oracle’ was played on Saturday at ‘The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show’ on BBC Radio 6 Music. I have a feeling that Snowboy might have had something to do with this – so a massive thank you to him too!

It warms my little heart to be played alongside classic soul and funk acts like The Temptations, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Eddie Bo (funny as we do play ‘Hook and Sling’ in our live repertoire), James Brown and Larry Graham Central Station (a special thrill as he is one of my all time favorite artists!), as well as peers from the UK and London soul and funk scene like Omar, The New Mastersounds, James Taylor Quartet (respect to bassist Andrew McKinney), Aloe Blacc and of course the featured artist on this particular show: Alexia Coley who is just awesome.

Seemingly a small thing but to me it means a lot as ‘The Oracle’ seems to happily live alongside all my past and present influences and peers. A lovely feeling! Thank you Craig Charles and Snowboy!

Listen here.

(Note that this BBC link will expire on Friday, 3rd of June.)

Alternatively listen to ‘The Oracle’ on soundcloud.

PS: I think I want to get in touch with Alexia Coley and see if she wants to guest with us sometime…what do you think?
