‘Bump-de-Bump’ is firmly stepping into the footsteps of the Meters and the Funkestra’s general love for the New Orleans Funk and Jazz tradition. This infectious groove tune is featuring Berklee College of Music piano chair Dave Limina and Boston based tenor saxophonist Tucker Antell. Written by guitarist Mike Outram this single release forms part of Redtenbacher’s Funkestra ‘live-in-the-studio’ album ‘The Hang’ – to be released later this year.

‘Greasy, slippery and well and truly funkified! Fab bass tone too, my lord!’ (Mike Brooks, Bass Guitar Magazine/Bass Player Magazine)

‘The epitome of New Orleans swagger, strut and in-your-face funk. The groove immediately sucks you in and the playing never lets up!’
(Nick Wells, Scott?s Basslessons/iBass Magazine)
